Douglas Sommer

Douglas Sommer is an experienced Information Technology professional currently serving as the Information Technology Service Lead at Shopko Optical since July 2019, where responsibilities include IT support, installation, and service management for both remote and on-site staff. Prior to this role, Douglas held various positions at Shopko from 1997 to May 2004, including Technical Support Technician and Assistant Team Leader, focusing on technical support and operations management. Additionally, Douglas contributed to the DE PERE HISTORICAL SOCIETY as President of the Board of Directors from January 2009 to June 2016, playing a key role in guiding the Society's strategic direction to promote local history. Douglas is an alumnus of the University of South Dakota.
