Omar Aguirre

Omar Aguirre has worked in a variety of roles since 1999. Omar began their career as the Founder and CEO of Tecno Ingenieria Aplicada/CEPii in 1999. In 2004, they joined OPTENET as Managing Director/VP of Engineering, where they directed the SaaS Engineering team responsible for cloud-based services for 100+ million users. In 2012, they co-founded Kinnevo, a multinational business created to facilitate entrepreneurs generate global startups. In 2015, they moved to UtilityScore as Sr. Solutions Architect/CTO, where they estimated utility costs and savings for all 126 million homes in the U.S. In 2017, they joined Pando as CTO, providing homeowners a free way to find and hire great contractors based on recommendations from friends and neighbors. In 2018, they became the Head of Engineering at Songclip, introducing a new music format built specifically for messaging, social posts, quick communication, creation, and expression. In 2022, they joined ShoppingGives as Chief Technology Officer and Senior Principal Software Engineer, developing an all-in-one impact strategy allowing businesses to offer customers a seamless and native giving experience during their shopping journey.

Omar Aguirre obtained their PhD in Industrial Engineering and Computer Science from Tecnun - Universidad de Navarra in 1998. In 2013-2014, they completed the Innovation Mentor Program at the University of Notre Dame in the field of Management of Innovation. In 2001-2002, they completed the AD2 Executive Program at IPADE Business School in Business Administration.
