Matt Brown

VP at Shore Capital Partners

Matt is a Vice President at Shore Capital, a microcap private equity firm focused on partnering with companies that have between $1-10 million of EBITDA. Matt’s responsibilities include sourcing, evaluating, and enabling the growth of Shore investments. He is actively involved with Shore’s investments in Golden Bear Therapy Partners, Assembly Health, and SENTA.

Prior to Shore, Matt worked for The Halifax Group, a middle market private equity firm in Washington, D.C. where he focused on investments in healthcare services and multi-unit franchise companies. His experience included conducting due diligence on new investment opportunities and implementing value creation initiatives at portfolio companies. Prior to Halifax, Matt was an analyst at KippsDeSanto & Co., a middle market investment bank focused on the aerospace & defense sector.

Outside of the office, Matt serves on the Leadership Association Council for the Furman Institute for Innovation & Entrepreneurship as well as the Furman Young Alumni Council.

Matt received an M.B.A. from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia, where he was a William Michael Shermet scholar, and a B.A., summa cum laude, in Economics from Furman University.
