Enterprise Business Architect / Information Architect at Shore

Alex Romanov, PhD has an extensive work experience in the field of business architecture and consulting. Alex started their career in 1998 as a Business Architect and Principal Consultant at Avrolabs, Inc. Alex was also a frequent speaker on business architecture at major international events during this time.

In 2022, Alex worked as an Enterprise Business Architect and Information Architect at Shore (Canada), where they were involved in compliance modernization projects for two ministries. Alex conducted business process reengineering, analysis, and recommendations, as well as interviews and brainstorming sessions with stakeholders. Alex also suggested a digital business model and analyzed process efficiency improvements.

Prior to that, Alex served as an Enterprise Business Architect at the Ontario Children, Youth and Social Services I+IT Cluster (CYSSC), MCCSS in 2021. Alex was responsible for assessing business architectures and providing support for OPS project submissions for the Ontario government's Corporate Architectural Review Board (ARB).

In 2020, Alex worked as a Business and Information Architect at the Home Construction Regulatory Authority (HCRA), where they were involved in establishing a new Ontario government agency. In 2018, Alex served as a Senior Business Architect at the Ontario Ministry of Community & Social Services, where they developed methodologies and strategies for future state readiness and delivered complete business architecture for strategic transformation plans.

From 2017 to 2018, Alex served as a Leading Business Architect/Consultant at the Ontario Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks and contributed to the redesign and optimization of environmental compliance programs.

Alex also has experience working as a Lead Business Architect and Consultant to various offices and projects at the Ontario Ministry of Transportation. Alex developed business architecture strategies, delivered full business architectures for multiple projects, and provided support for enterprise architecture reviews.

Alex Romanov obtained their Ph.D in Physics/Math modeling (of semiconductor plasma) from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Alex pursued their doctoral studies at the university from 1991 to 1993. Their research focused on multiple applied implementations in the field.
