Michael Cannova has over three decades of work experience, starting in 1988. Michael began their career at Frontier as a Director of Call Center Operations, where they stayed for nearly 20 years. In 2007, they moved to 5LINX Enterprises, Inc. as a Senior Director of Customer Care, a role they held for six years. From there, they became the VP of Customer Experience & Operations at 5LINX Enterprises Inc., where they remained until 2016. In 2016, they joined ShoreTel as the Director of Advanced Customer Care & Rochester Site Leader. Finally, in 2017, they joined Mitel, first as a Senior Director of Technical Support and later as the Vice President of Technical Support, a position they currently hold.

Michael Cannova attended Hasbrouck Heights High School from 1974 to 1978. Later, they pursued a degree in Finance and Corporate Accounting at the University of Rochester - Simon Business School from 1983 to 1985, earning their MBA.
