Elizabeth Cox has extensive work experience in the fields of writing, producing, design, and multimedia. Elizabeth started their career working as a Brown Arts Mentoring Volunteer at Brown University in 2012. Elizabeth then worked as a Literary Arts Blogger at Clerestory Journal of the Arts in the same year. In 2014, Elizabeth worked as a Graphic Designer at Ivy Global and as a Writer at The Rib of Brown. Elizabeth also worked at the Brown University Science Center as an Animator and Writer for Sci-toons, videos designed to make science more accessible to a wider audience. In 2015, Elizabeth worked at Kaiser Family Foundation as a Multimedia Intern. Elizabeth joined DigitasLBi in 2016 as an Account Executive and TED Conferences, where they held various positions, starting as a TED-Ed Production Intern in 2016. Elizabeth's skills and experience in writing and producing videos led their to work as an Associate Editorial Producer, Editorial Producer, and finally as Senior Editorial Producer at TED-Ed. As of 2022, Elizabeth is Head Writer & CEO at Should We Studio.

Elizabeth Cox attended Brown University from 2011 to 2015, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Science and Society with a focus on Neurobiology and Mental Health, as well as Visual Art. In addition, they attended Rhode Island School of Design from 2013 to 2014 to study Film/Animation/Video. At some point, they also attended Maryland Institute College of Art and California College of the Arts for Animation by Design, and Syracuse University in Florence for an unspecified field of study, although it is unclear when they completed these programs, if at all.
