Pavel Bures

Pavel Bures is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in software development and management. Currently serving as a Senior Engineering Manager at Sky Czech Republic since April 2024, Pavel has also held prominent roles at Showmax, including Backend Development Team Lead and Head of Backend Department since September 2017. Prior experience includes working as a Software Development Manager at Oracle since February 2014 and serving as an AVP - Software Developer at Barclays Investment Bank from October 2012 to January 2014. Pavel began a career at Oracle Corporation as a Senior Software Developer and previously worked at Sun Microsystems as a Software Engineer, where responsibilities included the analysis and implementation of data center management software. Additionally, Pavel contributed to research at Los Alamos National Lab from 2003 to 2005. Academic credentials include a degree from Czech Technical University in Prague, obtained from 1999 to 2005.
