Lois Robinson is the current Executive Director at Shreveport Symphony Orchestra. Lois has previous experience as an Executive Director at Civic Orchestra of Chicago and as an Artistic Administrator/Orchestra Manager at The Grant Park Music Festival.

Robinson began their career in the arts as an Artistic Administrator/Orchestra Manager at The Grant Park Music Festival. Lois was responsible for programming, researching guest artists and conductors, cultivating relationships with artists and managements, and negotiating contracts. Additionally, they supervised concert functions and worked with outside production vendors, managed the orchestra's collective bargaining, and supervised the personnel manager and music librarian. Robinson also created and executed a series of 45-50 events each summer as part of the festival's outreach program.

In February 1999, Robinson became the Executive Director at Civic Orchestra of Chicago, the training orchestra of the Chicago Symphony. Her responsibilities included board development, planning, budgeting, development, and marketing for a $1.3 million organization. During their time at Civic Orchestra of Chicago, they balanced the budget for two fiscal years and participated in fundraising that raised over $1 million. Lois also took the orchestra to Carnegie Hall and expand the community engagement program to five residency sites.

Since July 2000, Robinson has served as the Executive Director at Shreveport Symphony Orchestra. In this role, they are responsible for the overall management of the orchestra and works to ensure its financial stability. Lois also oversees the programming and educational

Lois Robinson holds a Bachelor of Music from the Cleveland Institute of Music and a Doctor of Law from the Cleveland Marshall College of Law.
