Dr. Suresh Kumar is a seasoned academic and engineer with extensive experience in higher education and research. Currently serving as a Professor, University Proctor, and Dean of Research and Development at Shri Vishwakarma Skill University, Haryana, since April 2021, Dr. Kumar has held various leadership roles in different institutions, including Tula's Institute and the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, where significant contributions were made towards engineering education and departmental management. A graduate of Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, with a Ph.D. in Solar Thermal and Heat Transfer, Dr. Kumar's educational background also includes a Master of Technology in Management Science and a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering. With prior engineering experience in the sugar industry, Dr. Kumar has consistently demonstrated a commitment to advancing engineering practices and education.

The objective to establish this skill University is to facilitate and promote skill, entrepreneurship development, skill based education and research in the emerging areas of manufacturing, information technology, textile, design, logistics and transportation, automation, agriculture, maintenance, etc. and to raise skill level in various fields related to these areas.
