Laura Clarke Guenther has a extensive work experience in various design research and strategy roles. Laura started their career at Ford Motor Company in 1993 as a Human Factors & Ergonomics Engineer. Laura then worked at Navistar as a Market Research Manager from 1999 to 2001. After that, they served as a Research Consultant before joining Motorola as a Design Lead, User Experience from 2004 to 2007. Laura then worked at Arc Worldwide as a Senior Experience Planner in 2007 and at Design Seedling as a Principal, Design + Research from 2008 to 2015. Their most recent role has been at Shure Incorporated where they currently hold the position of Associate Director, Design Research - Strategy & Innovation since 2015.
Laura Clarke Guenther has an education history that includes a Master of Design Methods in Human Centered Design from the Illinois Institute of Technology (2003-2005), an MBA in Business, Marketing, and Product Development from Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management (1996-1997), an MS in Industrial and Operations Engineering with a focus on Human Factors and Ergonomics from the University of Michigan (1994), and a BA in Psychology from Kalamazoo College (1988-1991).
