Barry Bastiaansen

Barry Bastiaansen currently serves as the Global Information Security Officer at SHV Energy and is a member of the Benelux CISO Governing Body at Evanta, where leadership of the regional CISO community is prioritized. Barry has extensive experience in cybersecurity, serving as a Cyber Security Consultant in Robotics and Autonomous Systems for the Dutch Ministry of Defense and previously holding positions such as Chief Information Security Officer at C. Steinweg Group and Gemeente Eindhoven. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree in Marketing and Supply Chain Management from Open Universiteit and numerous certifications in information security and management. Barry's military background includes a role as a Major (R) in National Operations, enhancing coordination during crises.
