James Mueller

James Mueller is an accomplished account executive and freelance sports writer with diverse experience in sports reporting and education. Currently working at Rally Department, LLC since May 2023, James has previously held roles such as staff member at City Church Houston, teaching Pre-K Sunday School. As a freelance sports writer for Chron.com, James covers Houston sports, including major teams like the Astros and Rockets. Prior experience includes serving as sports editor for The Cougar, where leadership skills were demonstrated by managing a team of 20 writers and earning recognition for having the most bylines. James has also contributed to FanSided, coached JV basketball at Veritas Christian Academy, and held a bat boy position at Sugar Land Skeeters. Academically, James earned dual degrees in Journalism and Sports Administration from the University of Houston, following a high school diploma from Strake Jesuit College Preparatory.
