Babsie Crane

Babsie Crane is a seasoned professional in the mining and metals industry with extensive experience in project management and engineering. As Vice President of Chrome and Base Metals at Sibanye-Stillwater since February 2023, Babsie oversees key initiatives in the sector. Previously, Babsie served as Manager of Projects at Kumba Iron Ore, directing growth projects from identification to implementation, and as Manager of Feasibility Studies at Exxaro Resources, leading various feasibility studies for growth and sustainability. Babsie's background includes significant roles at Kumba Iron Ore, where Babsie managed infrastructure projects and served as Project Engineer, as well as positions at BHP Billiton and ISCOR. Babsie holds a B.ENG in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Energy Management from the University of Pretoria and a Masters in Business Leadership from the University of South Africa.
