Heather McDowell

Heather McDowell has extensive work experience in the legal and external affairs field. Heather started their career as an Associate Attorney at Crowley Fleck Attorneys PLLP in 2005 and worked there until 2009. McDowell then joined PPL Corporation as a Counsel from 2009 to 2015. Heather continued their legal career as a Senior Counsel at Talen Energy from 2015 to 2016 before becoming an Associate General Counsel at Black Hills Corporation from 2016 to 2017. McDowell's most recent roles include serving as the VP Legal, Environmental, and Government Affairs—US Region for Sibanye-Stillwater from 2017 to 2023, and they currently hold the position of VP Legal and External Affairs—Americas at the same company.

Heather McDowell earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Business Administration with an Accounting Emphasis from the University of Montana in 2002. Heather then went on to complete their J.D., summa cum laude, from Gonzaga University School of Law from 2002 to 2005. Heather also holds bar licenses in Montana, Washington, and Wyoming, obtained from the Bar Assoc.
