Laurent Charbonnier

Laurent Charbonnier has a diverse work experience in the banking and mining industry. Laurent most recently served as the Chief Commercial & Development Officer at Sibanye-Stillwater since April 2021. Before that, they held the position of Executive Vice President Business Development at the same company from November 2020 to April 2021. Prior to their roles at Sibanye-Stillwater, Laurent worked at HSBC Global Banking and Markets for several years. Laurent was the Global Head, Metals & Mining from September 2018 to November 2020 and also served as the MD, Head of Metals and Mining EMEA since 2012. Laurent started their career at Credit Suisse as an Executive Director from 2008 to 2012, and previously worked as an Investment Banker at UBS from 1998 to 2008.

From 1993 to 1996, Laurent Charbonnier attended CentraleSupélec, where they earned a degree in ECP Paris. Following this, from 1995 to 1997, they enrolled at Sciences Po, although no specific degree or field of study is specified.
