Instructional Coach at Sibme

Erica Dawson has worked in education since 2004. Erica began their career as an English Teacher at Liberty County Public Schools in 2004. In 2006, they moved to Gwinnett County Public Schools, where they held the roles of Instructional Technology and Innovation Coach, eCLASS Instructional Specialist, and English Teacher. In 2021, they joined Sibme as an Instructional Coach. In their roles at Gwinnett County Public Schools, they collaborated with local school leadership teams to support the vision of future ready instructional practices, designed and implemented professional learning opportunities, coached and modeled future ready instructional practices and lesson experiences, supported staff and students in selecting and accessing technology resources, and assisted teachers and administrators in using data to guide instruction. In their role at Sibme, they are an Instructional Coach.

Erica Dawson began their educational journey in 2003 when they earned their Bachelor of Arts in English from Mercer University. In 2006, they earned their Master of Science in Educational/Instructional Technology from Nova Southeastern University. The following year, they earned their Leadership Certification in Curriculum and Instruction from Kennesaw State University. In 2009, they earned their Education Specialist in Curriculum and Instruction from Piedmont University and their Gifted Endorsement from University of North Georgia. Finally, in 2018, they earned their Doctor of Education in Reading from Nova Southeastern University.
