Melissa Stavola Linton has worked in various roles in the education field since 2001. Melissa began their career as a Franklin Northwest Supervisory Union in Swanton, Vermont in 2001. In 2006, they took on the role of Principal at Kenai Peninsula Borough School District. In 2011, they became an Educational Consultant at the Danielson Group, and a Consultant at ASCD. In 2013, they started working at KPBSD as a Curriculum Coordinator, where they facilitated PreK-12 Curriculum and common assessment development for all content areas, planned and oversaw professional development, and wrote and managed competitive grants. In 2022, they began working as an Instructional Coach at Sibme.
Melissa Stavola Linton has a long and varied educational history. Melissa earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts - BFA from Eastman School of Music in 1989-1993, majoring in Music. Melissa then went on to earn a Bachelor of Music Education from Eastman School of Music in 1991-1993, majoring in Music Performance. Following this, they earned a Master's Degree in Music from Northwestern University in 1993-1996, majoring in Percussion and Education. Melissa also earned a Master's Degree in Music Teacher Education from Northwestern University in 1993-1996. Finally, they earned an Educational Leadership and Administration, General degree from University of Vermont in 2002-2006.
