Alain Mayer

Alain Mayer is a seasoned scientist with extensive experience in product compliance and chemistry, currently serving as a Senior Product Compliance Scientist and Senior Chemist at SICPA since July 2011. Previously, Alain held the position of Postdoc - Process Chemist at Cilag AG, where responsibilities included the development of efficient syntheses of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients and process optimization. A postdoctoral tenure at The University of British Columbia was completed from February 2006 to December 2007, supported by a fellowship from the Swiss National Science Foundation, focusing on chemo-enzymatic syntheses to study carbohydrate processing enzymes. Alain Mayer earned a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Bern in 2005, following a Master’s degree in Chemistry from Université Louis Pasteur in 2001.
