Mathew Kahansky

Mathew Kahansky has a diverse work experience in various roles. Mathew worked as a Bookings Lead at Side Door, a music tech startup, where they were responsible for booking online and in-person shows and tours, managing show production, recruiting and vetting potential hosts, managing social media, and developing user experience strategies. Mathew also contributed to the Ongoing History of New Music as an author, providing weekly recommendations and occasionally conducting research and writing for the internationally syndicated radio program and podcast. Additionally, Mathew worked as a Board Operator, street team member, promotions consultant, and live stream consultant for the Evanov Radio Group, specifically with Rock 105.1 and Hot Country 103.5 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Earlier in their career, Mathew served as a Junior Constable for Queen's Student Constables, where they worked in peer-to-peer security, handling various duties such as liability management, bouncing, alcohol service, crowd control, and emergency aid.

Mathew Kahansky pursued their education starting from 2012 to 2016 at Queen's University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Biology, General. Following their studies at Queen's University, Mathew attended the University of King's College from 2016 to 2017, during which time they obtained a Bachelor of Journalism degree. Their field of study at the University of King's College focused on Communication, Journalism, and Related Programs.

In addition to their educational background, Mathew also completed certification courses. In February 2016, they obtained a Security Guard certification from the Ontario Private Security & Investigative Services. Moreover, Mathew obtained a certification called "Smart Serve Ontario" from The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, although the specific details regarding the month and year of obtaining this certification are not provided.
