Vice President Of Growth & Retention at Side

Matt Kudla has extensive work experience in various leadership roles. Matt is currently serving as the Vice President of Growth & Retention at Side since January 2022. Before this, they worked as an Independent Consultant at Sales, CS, and Go-To-Market Strategies from May 2019 to January 2022. In this role, they provided strategic counsel to organizations at different stages, developed effective GTM models, drove new business acquisition and retention, and formulated customer success strategies. Matt also recruited and led teams, managed compliance, and positioned new ventures for growth.

Prior to that, Matt worked at Verizon Connect from October 2016 to May 2019. Matt held the position of RVP Customer Success - SaaS and IOT and later became the Regional Vice President APAC & EMEA - FM WORK (SaaS). In this role, they relocated to Sydney to provide senior leadership and expanded the SaaS offering into European markets. Matt developed the international Go To Market Strategy, achieved $5M in ARR within 12 months, and led a global team responsible for sales, marketing, implementation, and support.

Before Verizon Connect, Matt worked at Fleetmatics as the Director of North America - Fleetmatics WORK (SaaS) from October 2014 to March 2019. Matt also served as the Director of Sales and Marketing at SolidLine Media from December 2013 to September 2014.

Earlier in their career, Matt worked at BigMachines as a Regional Vice President from October 2012 to November 2013. Matt also worked at CareerBuilder as an Enterprise Sales Director from 2005 to 2012 and at Sears Automotive Group as an Area Sales Director from August 2000 to October 2005.

Matt Kudla holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois Chicago, with a concentration in International Business and Marketing. Matt also has experience in Latin American Culture and Language from their time at the COSI - Costa Rican Spanish Institute.
