Cyril Bosch, CFA, CQF has extensive work experience in the financial industry. Cyril is currently serving as the Chief Investment Officer at Sidekick, where they design and manages global active investment strategies, oversees the in-house investment team, and integrates data and technology partners. Prior to this, Cyril worked at Universities Superannuation Scheme (Ltd) as a Senior Quantitative Analyst and Fund Manager for Developed Market Equities, specializing in systematic equity fund management, custom factor research and implementation, and ML/NLP applications. Cyril also served as a Senior Equities Analyst for Developed Markets Equities, conducting fundamental equity research and portfolio management. Before joining Universities Superannuation Scheme (Ltd), Cyril worked at Polar Capital, where they acted as a Fund Manager for Developed Market Equities. Cyril co-managed Polar Japan Fund, handled stock selection, portfolio construction, risk management, marketing, and asset gathering. Cyril's other roles at Polar Capital include Equities Analyst for Developed Market Equities, focusing on small caps, and Operations Executive, overseeing fund accounting, derivatives trading, and risk and compliance monitoring. Cyril began their career at FTSE Russell as a Financial Analyst and participated in the Graduate Development Program at JPMorgan Chase.

Cyril Bosch, CFA, CQF has a diverse education history that encompasses various fields of study. In 2002, they began their undergraduate studies at Stellenbosch University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Commerce (BComm) degree in Investment Management, completing it in 2005. During their time at Stellenbosch University, Cyril also concurrently pursued a second BComm degree in Financial Analysis (Hons), specializing in Mathematical Finance, Economics, and Statistics, which they completed in 2006.

In 2018, Cyril attended General Assembly, where they completed a Data Science Immersive program. This program focused on machine learning, artificial intelligence, and Python.

Building upon their previous education, Cyril enrolled at the CQF Institute in 2020 to pursue a Master's level Certificate in Quantitative Finance (CQF). This program, which they are expected to complete in 2022, emphasizes quantitative methods and techniques for finance professionals.

Additionally, Cyril holds the prestigious Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the CFA Institute, an organization dedicated to investment professionals. The CFA program provided Cyril with comprehensive knowledge and expertise in the field of investment.
