David Gilford

David Gilford has a diverse background in urban innovation and sustainability. David is currently serving as the Head of Policy and Strategic Partnerships at Sidewalk Infrastructure Partners (SIP), a company backed by Alphabet and other major partners. Previously, they worked as a Principal in Urban Technology & Innovation at HR&A Advisors and as a Co-Founder & Principal at Broadband Equity Partnership. David also has experience in startup mentoring, having served as a Mentor at URBAN-X, Dreamit Ventures, and Big Idea Ventures. Additionally, David has held leadership positions at Intersection Co., where they co-founded the Connected Communities practice, and at the New York City Economic Development Corporation, where they served as Vice President & Director of Urban Innovation & Sustainability. Prior to that, they were involved in the Experienced Commercial Leadership Program at GE Capital.
