Sara Tomei

Sara Tomei is an accomplished professional in the field of genomics and biorepository management, currently serving as the Acting Director of Integrated Genomics Services at Sidra Medicine since April 2014. Sara has successfully established and managed the Omics Core Facility and Biorepository, overseeing a multicultural team and leading advanced genomic testing and validation using various cutting-edge platforms. With a solid background in conducting complex research projects as a Post-Doctoral Associate at Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar and as a Visiting Research Scientist at the National Institutes of Health, Sara has contributed significantly to scientific advancements in molecular oncology. Sara holds a PhD in Molecular and Experimental Oncology from Università di Pisa and has extensive teaching experience as an instructor at Università di Roma Tor Vergata.
