Megan McCarthy

Senior Scientist at Siduma Therapeutics

Megan McCarthy has a diverse work experience spanning several prestigious institutions. Megan is currently working as a Senior Scientist at Siduma Therapeutics since March 2023. Prior to that, they held the position of Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Yale University from August 2020 onwards. During their time there, they focused on studying the effect of mechanical forces on the nuclear envelope and nuclear pore complexes using yeast as a model organism, funded by an NIH F32 fellowship. Megan's work experience also includes being a Graduate Research Fellow at the University of Minnesota, where they conducted research on the structural interaction between CaM-RyR and published three papers. Megan was funded by both the American Heart Association and an NIH F31 predoctoral fellowship. Additionally, Megan worked as a Junior Research Scientist at the University of Minnesota. Megan began their academic career as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.

Megan McCarthy pursued their education by completing a Bachelor's degree in Biology, General from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse between 2009 and 2013. Following their undergraduate studies, they continued their academic journey at the University of Minnesota, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Biochemistry, Biophysics, and Molecular Biology from 2014 to 2020.
