Derek Olinger

Derek Olinger is an experienced professional in quality management and engineering, currently serving as the Head of Quality and EHS at Siemens Energy since October 2020. In this role, Derek oversees Quality Management, Quality Systems, Laboratory, NDT, and EHS, while collaborating with the operations team to enhance manufacturing processes and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Previously, as the Blade & Vane Supply Chain Quality & Quality Systems Manager at Siemens Energy, Derek led quality initiatives for the Orlando Gas Turbine Blade & Vane Supply Chain. With a background managing a $300M budget for purchasing at the Orlando Blade & Vane Operations and prior experience in engineering management roles at ESCO Turbine Technologies and Howmet, Derek has a strong foundation in metallurgical engineering, holding multiple degrees from the University of Cincinnati and an EMBA from the University of Notre Dame.
