Rebecca Zahniser Hammerbeck has extensive work experience in the legal field. Rebecca started their career at Condon & Forsyth LLP as an Associate, where they defended manufacturers and distributors in litigation cases. Afterwards, they joined Bingham McCutchen LLP as an Associate before moving on to Baker Botts LLP. At Baker Botts LLP, they served as both an Associate and Special Counsel, representing pharmaceutical industry defendants in product liability litigation and contractual disputes. Rebecca also provided guidance on FDA regulatory issues to pharmaceutical clients and managed large-scale e-discovery efforts. Rebecca then worked at Reed Smith LLP as Counsel, handling diverse litigation dockets for corporate clients in multiple industries. During this time, they represented clients in significant commercial litigation, product liability litigation, and commercial arbitration cases. Most recently, Rebecca joined Siemens Energy as Lead Counsel, Execution - Gas Services Distributed and Transformation of Industry. In this role, they are responsible for providing commercial legal support to US-based new technology and commercial groups, negotiating and managing complex commercial contracts, and advising management on project risks and active litigation matters. Rebecca also negotiates and manages licensing, development, and commercialization agreements for new technologies.

Rebecca Zahniser Hammerbeck completed their high school education at The Garrison Forest School from 1990 to 1994. Rebecca then pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and English at the University of Pennsylvania from 1994 to 1998. Following this, they attended Fordham University School of Law and obtained their Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from 1998 to 2001.
