Ian Barden

Ian Barden is an experienced offshore installation professional with over a decade of expertise in the wind energy sector. Currently serving as Offshore Installation Lead at Siemens Gamesa since March 2011, Ian has held key roles including Offshore Wind Turbine Installation & Heavy Lift Supervisor, and has contributed to numerous offshore projects such as Walney 2, London Array, and Veja Mate. Prior to Siemens Gamesa, Ian worked as a Wind Turbine Technician at Global Wind Service and as Wind Turbine Installation Foreman at CLS Offshore Ltd, where involvement included the Thanet offshore wind farm project and hands-on maintenance of turbine systems. Education was completed at Sir William Nottidge School.
