Joseph Baumer

Joseph Baumer has extensive work experience in the software and engineering industries. Joseph is currently working as a Services Engagement Manager at Siemens Government Technologies since March 2021. Prior to this, they held multiple roles at Hexagon PPM from 2017 to 2020, including Industry Consultant in the Marine and Fabrication Industries and ISDM CAD Stream Project Manager.

Before joining Hexagon PPM, Joseph worked at Intergraph from 2006 to 2017. Joseph served as the Executive Technical Director, where they acted as the Product Manager for Marine and Structural applications. Joseph also held positions such as Marine Content Manager and Business Development Manager, contributing to the growth and success of the SmartMarine 3D software.

Joseph started their career at Global Research and Development Corporation in 2000, where they worked as a Senior Application Engineer. Their responsibilities included requirements specification, certification, training development, and pre-sales support activities.

Prior to that, they worked at Newport News Shipbuilding, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, from 1995 to 2000. As an Engineering Supervisor, they led the Welding Engineering Robotics Group and played a key role in IT integration efforts for automated cutting and welding applications.

Joseph Baumer has a Bachelor's Degree in Ocean Engineering from Florida Institute of Technology. Joseph also holds a Master's Degree in Civil/Coastal Engineering from Old Dominion University.
