Frank Southwell

Frank Southwell has over 35 years of experience in the medical diagnostics and procurement sectors. Currently serving as Director of Procurement at Siemens Healthineers since November 1987, Frank leads a team responsible for the procurement strategy of chemicals, biologicals, and reagents, overseeing an annual spend exceeding 250 million Euros across global manufacturing sites. Prior to this role, Frank held positions including Manager of Global Supplier Operations at Dade Behring, where responsibilities encompassed supplier relationships and cost reductions, and Manufacturing Support Chemist at DuPont, focusing on supplier negotiations and process improvements. Frank began a career as a Research Chemist at DuPont Diagnostics, contributing to the development of medical diagnostic products, and previously worked as a Research Support Technician at The Wistar Institute on cancer research projects. Frank holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Villanova University.
