Mika Miettinen

Mika Miettinen has extensive work experience in the medical technology industry. Mika is currently serving as the Vice President of Technology Enabled Solutions at Siemens Healthineers since January 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Vice President of Varian Proton Solutions Operational Performance at Siemens Healthineers from June 2021 to December 2021.

Before joining Siemens Healthineers, Mika worked at Varian Medical Systems from 2018 to 2021, where they held the role of Vice President of M&A Integration and PMO. In this position, they were responsible for establishing the Acquisition Integration Office and leading the integration of multiple acquisitions. Mika also oversaw the Corporate/Strategic Program Management Office, focusing on strategic process improvement projects and change management.

From 2016 to 2018, Mika was the Vice President of R&D at Bigfoot Biomedical, where they were responsible for software and hardware engineering organizations. Mika implemented an agile program and project management structure to optimize resource usage and accelerated product development.

Prior to that, Mika had several roles at Varian Medical Systems, starting as a Software Engineer and Customer Support Manager in 1994. Mika later became a Quality Manager, Product Manager and R&D Development Manager for Treatment Planning Systems, and Senior Product Manager for Imaging Systems. Mika also served as Director of Global QA and Product Reliability, WW Systems Engineering, and Product Management & Development for Treatment Delivery Systems. Mika led large cross-functional teams and successfully implemented lean and concurrent engineering principles to improve product quality and efficiency.

Mika holds a wealth of experience in product development, program management, integration, and quality assurance within the medical technology field.

Mika Miettinen completed their Master's degree in Energy and Nuclear Physics from Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan in 1994. Additionally, they also earned a Master's Degree in Applied Mathematics from Helsinki University of Technology during the same time period.
