Damon Belfield has extensive work experience in the engineering field. Starting in 1997, they worked at Logan Teleflex (UK) Ltd, initially as a Development Engineer, then as a Controls Design Engineer, and finally as a Senior Engineer - Sortation. During their time there, they were involved in various aspects of airport baggage handling design, including project engineering, system design, electrical design, control panel design, PLC software design, and on-site commissioning. In 2012, they joined SD (Middle East) LLC as an Engineering Manager, responsible for the technical content of baggage handling system (BHS) projects. Damon led a team of engineers and worked closely with consultants and end-users to develop and achieve approval for the concept and produce necessary solutions. In 2015, they were promoted to the role of Director Engineering, where they had overall responsibility for all of the company's engineering activities, relating to both baggage and cargo handling systems across the GCC. Damon allocated engineering design resources, ensured full functionality of the system, and acted as a technical consultant to in-house customer service teams. Currently, Damon holds the position of Head of Engineering Europe at Siemens Logistics, a role they assumed in 2023.

Damon Belfield completed their B.Eng(Hons) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Hull, where they studied from 1993 to 1997. Prior to that, they attended North Bolton Sixth Form from 1988 to 1990, although specific details about their degree or field of study during that time are not available.
