Yap Amos

Yap Amos has a work history that spans several years in various companies. Yap started their career as an Operations Research Intern at SIA Engineering Company in 2016. Yap then went on to work as an Industrial Engineering & Finance Intern at HP Inc in 2017. After that, they worked as a Supply Chain Analyst at GE Aerospace from 2018 to 2021. Yap then joined PwC as an Advisory consultant from October 2021 to July 2022. Currently, they are working at Siemens Logistics as a Finance and Controlling Analyst, where they collaborate with managers to identify automation opportunities and process improvements. Yap also develops statistical models for future margin prediction and manages user acceptance tests for finance reporting modules. Yap has successfully implemented standardized contract templates and conducted daily fundamental analysis reports for financial instruments. Additionally, they built a reporting tool utilizing SQL Database to highlight anomalies in FX costs, resulting in potential savings of €700,000 over six months.

Yap Amos completed their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (hons) from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore between 2014 and 2018. Yap then pursued further education at the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) from 2019 to 2023, where they are currently working towards a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy. In addition to their formal education, Yap Amos has obtained several certifications including Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) from Scrum Alliance in March 2021, AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in October 2020, Data management & Analysis in Excel Using SQL from the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA) in August 2020, Lean Six Sigma (Yellow Belt) Foundation Course from NUS School of Continuing and Lifelong Education (SCALE) in April 2019, Artificial Intelligence in Finance from CFTE - Centre for Finance, Technology and Entrepreneurship in August 2018, Matlab for Beginners, Matlab Programming, and Build Excel Dashboards from Udemy in June 2018, May 2018, and November 2017 respectively.
