Ms. Jamieson retired in 2017 as the CEO of the Canadian Partnership Against Cancer, an independent organization funded by Health Canada to accelerate action on cancer control for all Canadians. Early in her career, Ms. Jamieson ran her own research and consulting firm specializing in geriatric care environments.

In 2012, Ms. Jamieson was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for public service. Her personal connection to long-term care is strengthened from supporting a loved one who lived in a Sienna care community for approximately 10 years.
