Cynthia Diehl, M.D., F.A.C.S. is a board-certified plastic surgeon and the owner of Diehl Plastic Surgery, where they have been practicing since 2009. Their practice specializes in aesthetic plastic surgery and has a certified operating room. Cynthia also serves as the Medical Director for Sientra, Inc., miraDry, Inc., and Neauvia North America. Prior to starting their own practice, they completed a Plastic Surgery Fellowship at UNC Hospitals and worked as a General Surgeon for the American Red Cross. Cynthia has also held positions at Wake Medical Center and the Federal Medical Complex. Dr. Diehl began their medical career as a General Surgery Resident at UNC Hospitals in 1996.
Cynthia Diehl M.D, F.A.C.S. pursued their education in a chronological order. Cynthia completed their undergraduate studies from 1987 to 1991 at North Carolina State University, earning both a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Chemistry and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biochemistry.
Following their undergraduate studies, they enrolled in the UNC School of Medicine from 1992 to 1996 to obtain their medical degree (M.D.) in the field of MD.
After completing their education, Cynthia Diehl M.D, F.A.C.S. obtained additional certifications to further enhance their expertise. In November 2011, they acquired certification from the American Board of Plastic Surgery affiliated with the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS). Additionally, in October 2002, they obtained certification from the American Board of Surgery, also associated with the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS).
