Nolan Northup

Nolan Northup has a diverse and extensive work experience in various roles and positions. Nolan worked at Sierra-Cedar, starting as a Senior Consultant in 2011. In this role, they served as a system administrator and technical team lead for middleware operations and infrastructure activities. Nolan also worked as an Enterprise Architect for LifeLock, providing assistance to the infrastructure team during a period of high growth and investment.

Later, at Sierra-Cedar, Nolan became the Director of Middleware Engineer in 2013. In this role, they were responsible for creating and leading the company's technology vision and strategy for middleware services. Nolan managed a team of over 20 consultants and integrated newly created middleware management services into a global support structure.

In 2017, Nolan was promoted to Director of Cloud Architecture & Strategy at Sierra-Cedar. In this position, they managed the AWS consulting group and was responsible for staffing, training, performance management, and workforce planning. Nolan also supported sales by presenting technology solutions, writing and reviewing service contracts, and overseeing service delivery.

Before working at Sierra-Cedar, Nolan held positions at Grand Canyon University and the University of Wisconsin-Stout. At Grand Canyon University, they served as a Business Process Solution Architect and later as a Senior ERP Systems Administrator & System Analyst, where they coordinated system implementation and administration activities.

At the University of Wisconsin-Stout, Nolan worked as a PeopleSoft Implementation Technical Lead & Systems Administrator. Nolan guided ERP platform implementations, upgrades, and solution integrations, and directed system administration and support.

Additionally, they played a crucial role at the University of Wisconsin-Stout as a Course Delivery and Portal Solution Architect and a Datatel Administrator. In these roles, they led system administration activities, coordinated operations and infrastructure for various university systems, and worked on innovative communication solutions.

Nolan Northup attended the University of Wisconsin-Stout from 1996 to 2000, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Telecommunications and Information Systems. In addition, they have obtained several certifications, including Professional Scrum Master I from Scrum.org in August 2019, Cloud Technology Professional and Cloud Professional from Arcitura Education Inc. in April and March 2017 respectively, and various AWS certifications (AWS Certified Developer – Associate, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate, and AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate) from Amazon Web Services in 2016 and 2017. Nolan also holds the certification as an Oracle Certified Associate for Oracle WebLogic Server 11g System Administrator, which they obtained in October 2013.
