Jocelyn Silverlight

Jocelyn Silverlight currently serves as the Deputy Regional Field Director for the Sierra Club, a position held since September 2022, after serving as the Senior Manager for Chapter Support in the Western Region. Prior experience includes serving as the Executive Director for Friends of Big Morongo Canyon Preserve, leading operations for a 31,000-acre nature preserve and managing a diverse volunteer base. Additional roles include Campground Host at Joshua Tree National Park, where education on park impact was facilitated, and President of United Auto Workers Local 2322, representing over 4,000 workers across various sectors through contract negotiations and community outreach. Jocelyn also held leadership positions in the Graduate Employee Organization and contributed as a Teaching Associate in service-learning courses, emphasizing social justice education. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree in Social Justice Education and a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology, both from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
