Josef Vacek

Josef Vacek is a seasoned professional in aerospace and engineering, currently serving as Director of Programs for Operations at Sierra Nevada Corporation since September 2022. Previously, Josef held key leadership roles at Volansi, including VP of Production and Maintenance and Senior Director of Production, from November 2020 to August 2022. Prior experience includes serving as Sr Hardware Manager at Insitu Inc from January 2015 to November 2020, and as PMO at Leviathan Security Group from June 2012 to January 2015. Josef's experience at Insitu extends back to 2006, where responsibilities as ScanEagle Chief Engineer culminated after a six-year tenure. Josef's career began as an Electrical Engineer at Fugro Seafloor Surveys, Inc from 2004 to 2006. Education includes a degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, completed between 2000 and 2003.
