Walter Andrews

Walter Andrews possesses extensive experience in the fields of Human Language Technologies and Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning. Currently serving as Sr Director of Research at Smarsh since April 2022, Walter was previously the Chief Scientist at Sierra Nevada Corporation beginning in June 2016, where responsibilities involved developing advanced speech processing technologies. From April 2019 to April 2022, Walter held the position of Chief Scientific Officer at Qntfy, focusing on long-term strategies in Human Behavioral Analytics. Prior to that, Walter served as Business Unit VP and Lead Scientist at Raytheon BBN Technologies from July 2007 to June 2016, overseeing technical and operational strategies in Human Language Technologies. Walter holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Oklahoma State University and is currently pursuing education at MIT Sloan School of Management.
