Zachary Pitts

Zachary Pitts is a skilled mechanical engineer with extensive experience in leadership and integration within the aerospace sector. Currently serving as the Mechanical Integration Lead at Sierra Space since November 2022, Zachary previously held multiple roles at Generation Orbit from March 2016 to November 2022, including Structures Functional Team Lead, where responsibility encompassed managing a team of Structures Engineers and providing technical support across projects. Significant contributions include directing the design milestones for the X-60C program and leading the structures team for the X-60A airframe. Earlier experience includes roles in research and project management at Factory Information Systems Group and Capstone Design Project for Drop in the Bucket Inc., as well as site supervision in construction at Powerhouse Inc., and entrepreneurship as the founder of Wall Crawler Rock Club Inc. Zachary holds both a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
