Roshan Fernando

Roshan Fernando is a seasoned hardware engineering professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across prominent semiconductor companies. Currently serving as Vice President of Hardware Engineering at SiFive since November 2020, Fernando previously held the position of Senior Director of Hardware Engineering at Marvell Semiconductor, focusing on the AI/ML Business Group. With a long tenure at Intel Corporation from 1988 to 2018, Fernando occupied various senior roles, including Sr. Director of Hardware Engineering, Senior Project Development Manager, and Technical Leader, leading teams in microprocessor development and technology evaluation. Fernando holds a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from Virginia Tech and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Moratuwa, complemented by foundational education from St. Joseph's College in Colombo.
