Volodymyr Shulga

Volodymyr Shulga has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Volodymyr is currently working as the Head of Software Engineering for Sift since April 2021. Prior to that, they held various positions at Star, including Director of Engineering from January 2017 to April 2021, Senior Engineering Manager from September 2015 to January 2017, Engineering Manager from September 2014 to September 2015, and Senior Software Engineer from July 2008 to October 2014. Before joining Star, they worked at Zapatec as a Full-stack Developer from July 2007 to July 2008, where they developed modules for spell checking and comments for web pages using Zapatec Suite, PHP, and aspell library. Volodymyr also worked at Edufinance as a PHP developer from May 2006 to July 2007, where they developed web-based software for government organizations using tools like PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, Apache, Umbrello, HTML, CSS, and MVC pattern. Additionally, they worked at Chernivtsi Trade and Economic Institute from November 2000 to May 2006, where they held various roles such as PHP developer, web-developer, system administrator, and teacher. Their responsibilities included developing the institute's website, creating web-based software for distance learning and testing, and developing electronic textbooks for distance learning.

Volodymyr Shulga received a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications from Chernivci National 'Juriy Fedkovyc' University in the years 1996 to 2001. Additionally, they obtained certifications from edX, including a Verified Certificate for Scalable Machine Learning and a Verified Certificate for Introduction to Big Data with Apache Spark in the year 2015.
