Bert de Ru

Bert de Ru is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in the construction and building materials sector. Currently serving as the Managing Director at SIG Benelux since October 2023, Bert has also held significant leadership roles, including Non-Executive Chairman and Managing Director at BMI Group (Roofing & Waterproofing) from July 2017 to January 2024. Prior to that, Bert was Country Manager Benelux and Sales Director at Monier Benelux from May 2010 to October 2023, and Sales Manager at Kingspan Unidek Nederland from May 2006 to April 2010. Bert's career began as Regional Commercial Manager at PontMeyer, where employment spanned from October 1994 to April 2006. Bert holds a Bachelor's Degree in International Business from Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, attained between 1990 and 1994, and also completed education at Erasmus University Rotterdam and College Blaucapel.
