Chief Scout / Head Researcher - Portugal at Sports Interactive

Carlos Bessa has a diverse work experience in the field of scouting and research in the sports industry. Carlos started their career in 2010 with Sports Interactive, where they held the roles of Chief Scout and Head Researcher for Portugal, as well as Assistant Researcher. From 2012 to 2019, they worked as an Administrative staff member at FELINO S.A. In 2016, they joined FC Porto, initially as an Academy Scout and later as a Sub-Coordinator for scouting in a specific region. During their time at FC Porto, they were responsible for managing and coordinating a team of scouts for the youth level and identifying young talents for the club's academy teams. In 2019, they also worked as an Observer and Scout for an external entity in Portugal, where they conducted both on-site and video observations of professional and youth leagues, and prepared player reports as per the entity's requirements.

Carlos Bessa's education history began in 2008 when they enrolled at Escola Profissional de Valongo. Carlos completed their degree in Gestão e Programação de Sistemas Informáticos, specializing in Informática, in 2011. After a gap of a few years, in 2016, they attended Bwizer for a short period. At Bwizer, they pursued a degree in Observação, análise e interpretação do jogador e/ou equipa, with a focus on Futebol.
