Mahesh Koté Ms

Mahesh Koté has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Mahesh recently joined Sight Sciences in 2023 as the Director of Analytical Research and Development. Prior to that, in 2023, they worked as the Associate Director of Technical Operations at Azurity Pharmaceuticals, where they were responsible for manufacturing and validation process strategy, CMO and CDMO management, and product deliverables.

From 2012 to 2023, Mahesh worked at Akorn, Inc in various roles. Mahesh started as a Research Scientist and Group Leader in R&D, where they developed and validated analytical test methods and coordinated FDA deficiency response submissions. Mahesh then became a Senior Group Leader, managing a team for FDA deficiency response submissions. Later on, they were promoted to Manager of Research and Development, overseeing lab compliance, instrument qualification, and product transfer activities. Finally, they held the position of Associate Director of R&D, managing a team for method development, validation, and stability testing of complex products.

Before joining Akorn, Inc, Mahesh worked at Belcher Pharmaceuticals as a Group Leader and Senior Chemist from 2008 to 2012. Mahesh'sresponsibilities included supporting the development and validation of analytical methods and ensuring compliance with FDA guidelines. Mahesh also worked at Sandoz India Pvt Ltd as a Research Scientist in API R&D from 2007 to 2008, and at Dr. Reddy's Laboratories as a Research Scientist from 2004 to 2007, where they developed and validated analytical methods for new chemical entities and supported API development projects.

Mahesh Koté, MS, M.B.A. has a rich educational background. In 1998, they completed their Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from PVP College Pravaranagar. Following that, from 2001 to 2003, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Organic Chemistry from Savitribai Phule Pune University. Most recently, Mahesh graduated from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management in 2021 with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Finance, General.

In addition to their degrees, Mahesh has also obtained several certifications. In March 2023, they attained the certifications of Lean Six Sigma Foundations and Six Sigma Foundations. Further, in April 2023, they completed the certification course on "How to Be More Strategic in Six Steps" and also acquired the Six Sigma: Green Belt certification. Lastly, in May 2023, they obtained the certifications for "Managing Projects with Microsoft 365" and "Scrum: The Basics," all of which were obtained from LinkedIn.
