Charleen Gumbo

Charleen Gumbo is an experienced professional in public health and nutrition, currently serving as Project Team Leader and Country Office Safeguarding Lead at Sightsavers since April 2022. Charleen specializes in strategic analysis, public health systems strengthening, and advocacy, along with budget management, proposal development, and resource mobilization. Prior experience includes roles at the World Food Programme as a Nutrition Programme Associate and Monitoring Assistant, and leadership in various nutrition and health initiatives with International Medical Corps and Save the Children International. Charleen holds a Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Nutrition from Midlands State University and a Master of Science in Development Studies from the Women's University in Africa.
