Diego Diaz de Berenguer has had a varied work experience, beginning in 2008 as a Student Intern at AT&T, where they assisted engineers to design and implement new infrastructure for the Greater New Orleans fiber optic network. In 2010, they worked as a Helpdesk Assistant at the University of New Orleans, developing a vast knowledge of computer troubleshooting. In 2014, they worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Jacobs, consulting on Shell's International Exploration and Production branch for the Carmon Creek project, and as a Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Analyst at ReactWell Inc. In the same year, they also became the Co-Founder and Lead Developer of Safety Spot, a next generation Health, Safety and Environmental all-in-on management platform. From 2018 to 2022, they worked at Lifion by ADP as a Senior Software Engineer and Software Engineer, where they were the Technical Lead of the Client Management Team and designed and built a full-stack web application to provide a UI for client onboarding. Diego is currently employed as a Software Engineer at Sigma Computing.

Diego Diaz de Berenguer earned a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Orleans in 2010, followed by a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same university in 2013. Diego also holds an EIT Certification from the Louisiana Professional Engineering and Land Surveying Board (LAPELS).
