Margarita Geleta

Margarita Geleta is a Research Affiliate in the Department of Biomedical Data Science at Stanford University since December 2020. Currently serving as a Researcher at Berkeley Artificial Intelligence Research and co-advised by Stanford University, Margarita has also held roles as a Sound Tech R&D PhD Intern at Dolby Laboratories and a Venture Scout at Alumni Ventures in 2024. Additionally, Margarita co-founded a stealth startup and interned as an Applied Scientist II at Amazon during two separate terms. Previous experience includes serving as a Teaching Assistant and Researcher at UC Irvine, as well as leadership positions such as President and Vice President at JEDI Junior Empresa and FIB Visiona. Margarita is pursuing a PhD in Computer Science at the University of California, Berkeley, following a previous PhD program at UC Irvine and a Bachelor's degree in Data Science and Engineering from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.
