Lou Graving has a comprehensive background in business development, particularly in the renewable energy and infrastructure sectors. Starting in 1998, they worked at TIC The Industrial Company, where they managed business development for the company's Western Region and secured contracts in various heavy industrial industries. From 2006 to 2007, they served as Vice President at Parsons, overseeing estimate generation and project management for ethanol plant construction projects. Following this, they joined Mortenson Construction as a Construction Executive, where they had full P&L responsibility for the program management and construction oversight of wind farms. In 2008, they became Vice President at Hill International, managing sales, proposal generation, and operations in the Puget Sound Region. From 2010 to 2020, they held a series of roles at Black & Veatch, including Vice President, Director of Wind Energy, Vice President, Director of Utility Scale Renewable Energy, and Vice President, Americas Power. They were responsible for strategic account initiatives, pursuit management, client relations, and overseeing a team of business development professionals. Most recently, they have been employed at Infrastructure and Energy Alternatives, Inc. (IEA) as a Senior Director of Business Development. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President of Business Development at Signal Energy, where they are known for delivering quality renewable energy and infrastructure projects ahead of schedule.

Lou Graving attended the University of Minnesota, where they studied Business Administration and Management, with a focus on General studies.
