Emil Østergaard Hoeck

Emil Østergaard Hoeck has a diverse work experience in the clinical trials industry. Emil started their career as a Clinical Research Coordinator at CCBR Clinical Research, where they worked with osteoarthritis patients in commercially sponsored clinical trials. Emil then joined C4Pain as a QA Associate, and later became the Director of Quality Assurance. At C4Pain, they specialized in early-phase mechanism-based proof-of-concept pain studies.

Emil then joined Syneos Health Clinical Solutions (previously INC Research/inVentiv Health) as a Site & Patient Coordinator, where they played a key role in building strategic site relationships and establishing preferred networks in different therapeutic areas. Emil later became a Senior Specialist and eventually a Manager in the Site and Patient Access business unit.

Emil also worked at VirTrial, a US-based startup specializing in telemedicine for clinical trials. As one of the first employees, they led sales and marketing activities outside of the USA. Emil also contributed across various departments and oversaw the go-to-market strategy for different clinical research solutions. After VirTrial was acquired by Signant Health, Emil continued as the Senior Director of Business Development, bringing their expertise in digitization of clinical trials.

Throughout their career, Emil has demonstrated subject matter expertise and a strong track record in business development within the clinical trials industry.

Emil Østergaard Hoeck obtained a Bachelor of Science in Medicine with Industrial Specialization from Aalborg University in 2015. In 2017, they further pursued their education at Aalborg University and earned a Master of Science in Medicine with Industrial Specialization. In the same year, they also obtained a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification from GoLeanSixSigma.com.
