Alain De Waele has a significant amount of work experience in operations and quality management. Alain began their career as a Quality Manager at Agfa HealthCare in 1987 and worked there until 2002. Alain then joined Philips, where they held various roles including Senior Industrial Quality Manager and Senior Operations and Quality Manager. In these positions, they were responsible for managing industrial operations, quality, and safety, as well as implementing continuous improvement initiatives. In 2013, they joined Signify as Head of Operations, where they focused on driving value for the customer and reducing non-added value activities through the implementation of lean six sigma. Throughout their career, Alain has consistently been involved in defining and improving industrial quality blueprints and key performance indicators for different business units.
Alain De Waele completed a degree in Industrial Engineering from KIHA from 1982 to 1986. In 1999, they obtained a Black Belt certification. In 1999, they also pursued a Master's degree in Quality Engineering from CKZ Antwerp, which they completed in 2001. In 2014, they attended Philips University for a short course on End to end Lean Leadership.
